Strangers Still Longer: Comparative Lessons on Otherness from a Demon Devotee

Artist Vincent Valdez
Professor Tracy Sayuki Tiemeier will critique the effectiveness of the American Catholic Church's messaging on issues of migration and immigration in a time of crisis. Employing comparative traditions from South Indian Hindu, Jain, and folk traditions, she will emphasize the need for a new and more relevant theological language that emphasizes both difference and multiplicity rather than sameness.
